This area of Scottsdale is bounded by Scottsdale Road to the west, the 101 Freeway and Bell Road to the north, Shea Boulevard to the south, to Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard to the east. There is a wide variety of types of homes in this area. The Scottsdale Hills neighborhood, south of Thunderbird Road and 94th Street, for example, consists of one story condominiums, while the Sweetwater Ranch neighborhood has a mixture of townhomes, patio homes and single family homes, ranging from 1,000 square feet to 3,600 square feet.
This area also includes highly desirable, established single-family neighborhoods such as The Retreat, Country Trace, Scottsdale Vista and Desert Wind. Mountain View Ranch features larger single family detached homes built by Pulte Homes and other builders. Many of these homes have been updated, and the community features walking and biking paths, as well as a children’s playground. The Cabo Del Rio neighborhood has 42 single story homes including condos and single family homes. The homes were primarily built by DEACTIS between 1993 and 1994.

Shopping: There are many amenities centrally located to this area. Nearby shopping (across the 101 freeway) includes the Scottsdale Quarter, with its Apple store, Pottery Barn, Restoration Hardware and American Girl. Kierland Commons is just across Scottsdale Road, and offers plenty of retailers such as Anthropologie and Crate and Barrel, as well as many popular restaurants.
Fitness opportunities are plentiful in this corridor, as there are dozens of parks with walking and biking trails, as well as numerous fitness centers. Schools: The schools in this area are serviced by the A rated Paradise Valley Unified School District, and include Redfield Elementary, Desert Canyon Middle School and Desert Mountain High School.
